The Power of God – But Now …

This is the first of a brand new series called “The Power of God.” This will be an 8 part series looking at the book of Romans. This first sermon will be looking at Romans 1-3. In these chapters Paul systematically unpacks the problem of sin. This reaches a climax in 3:20 where Paul says that “by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight.” However, in verse 21 we see two of the most significant words in the book of Romans “But now…” With these two words Paul introduces the radical change that has come now that Jesus has stepped onto centre stage. We were lost in our sins, but now… Jesus.
