His Heart Beats
…keep up good courage. Let not your heart be oppressed. You have been called upon to travel a thorny path, but Jesus is at your side to journey the rough road with you. He knows, He understands every woe, every sorrow of those who suffer. His heart beats in sympathy with the hearts of suffering humanity, and those who suffer most have most of His pity and sympathy. He is your best Friend. He is your Mediator.
3 Lenses of Scripture
Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water. Revelation 14:7
The Power of Rest
“Stopping is a problem for humans. We get a comfortable house, and then we want a bigger one. We get enough to eat, and then we want more. God doesn’t need to rest after creating the universe because he’s tired. He rests because he is holy, and everything that God does is holy. God rests. God is holy. Therefore, rest is holy. It’s simple math.” Matthew Sleeth
Christmas Paradox

The Jealous God
“You must worship no other gods, for the LORD, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.” Exodus 34:14
Travelling with God Through Pain and Suffering
How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart?

Defender of the Faith – The Glory of Creation
But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great…
Defender of the Faith – Converging Science
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1
Defender of the Faith – The Empty Tomb
For we did not follow cleverly devised stories [myths, fable, tales], when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 2 Peter 1:16
The Impossible God
“For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37
The Gospel as Tragedy, Comedy and Fairytale
If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.
